The member app
What should a golf club member app do?
It should carry the member's card, their tee times, their handicap and the club's own feed, and it should score the round they are playing. If it is a different company's app from the club's system, the member's booking and the club's tee sheet are two records rather than one.
The facts
- Digital member card, tee time booking, GPS scoring, competitions and live leaderboards, social feed, stats, profile and club info.
- Native on iPhone and Apple Watch; an Android app is in progress on the same design and data, and feature parity is the roadmap.
- An Apple Watch app with GPS distances, shot tracking and live scoring from the wrist.
- Home screen and lock screen widgets, Live Activity and Dynamic Island for a round in progress.
- The app is white-labelled per club: the club's own colours, mark and name.
How Paralo does it
The app is the club, in the member's pocket, and it is the club's own app rather than a portal with a login. Digital member card, tee times, GPS scoring, leaderboards and the club's own feed, with distances and live scoring on the wrist, and handicap and next tee time on the lock screen without opening anything.
