From five systems to one: the case for integrated club management

Jarrad Hicks, co-founder and chief executive20 March 2026

Walk into the average golf club office and you'll find a General Manager juggling between five, six, sometimes seven different software systems. One for the tee sheet. One for member management. Another for competitions. A separate EPOS. Maybe a standalone website CMS. And a WhatsApp group holding it all together.

Each system has its own login, its own data format, its own update cycle, and its own support team. Nothing talks to anything else. The GM becomes a human API, manually moving data between systems that should be connected.

The cost of this fragmentation goes beyond subscription fees. It's the hours spent reconciling data. It's the member who books a tee time but doesn't see their competition entry. It's the inability to see a unified view of club activity.

Paralo takes a fundamentally different approach. Instead of bolting features onto a legacy core, we designed a single integrated platform from day one. Tee sheet, members, competitions, EPOS, scoring, community: all built on the same foundation, sharing the same data, accessible from one login.

This isn't about feature checklists. It's about coherence. When everything is connected, the software gets out of the way and the GM can focus on what actually matters: running a great golf club.

Integration isn't a feature. It's an architecture decision. And it's one that has to be made at the beginning, not retrofitted later.

The clubs that move to integrated platforms will operate more efficiently, deliver better member experiences, and ultimately, attract and retain more members. The question isn't whether to consolidate: it's when.
