Why golf clubs deserve better software

Golf is a sport defined by precision. Every blade of grass on a championship green is measured. The stimpmeter readings are checked daily. The cut heights are set to the millimetre. Greenkeepers spend decades perfecting their craft, because in golf, every detail matters.

And yet, the software that runs these clubs: the tee sheets, the member portals, the competition systems: looks and feels like it was built in 2008. Because most of it was.

This isn't a technology problem. The tools exist to build beautiful, fast, intuitive software. It's a priorities problem. For too long, golf club software has been built by companies that treat clubs as accounts to manage, not communities to serve.
